Feunugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) seed extracts have been found in some studies to promote healthy levels of total serum cholesterol, triglycerides and low-density lipoprotein. Fenugreek contains steroidal saponins, which are important precursors for the synthesis of a number of sex hormones.
