Caffeine, the most used pre-workout ingredient
Coffee and thus caffeine is the most commonly used substance to take before training. Caffeine was on the doping list of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) until 2004. However, because caffeine is used so much in a social context, it was decided to remove this wonderfully stimulating substance from the doping list. Since then, the use of caffeine and coffee among athletes has increased considerably.
Use caffeine with caution. Sensitive people can feel rushed by caffeine. Therefore, ensure sufficient physical and mental rest after exertion! Also take into account the advice regarding sleep. See the paragraph with side effects for this.
Coffee drinker versus caffeine naive
Are you a coffee drinker? Then the dosage of 1 tablet is probably the best pre-workout dosage for you.
Are you coffee/caffeine naive? Then try half a tablet (100mg)

Studies have shown that caffeine combines excellently with green tea extract.

recommended use
fatigue: take half to a whole tablet in case of fatigue with at least 2 dl of water or fruit juice
strength sports: take 1 tablet with a glass of water 30 minutes before training
fat burning: take 1 tablet in combination with another fatburning supplement (green tea or cayenne pepper) with a glass of water up to a maximum of 3 tablets spread over the day

side effects & contraindications
excessive fatigue with excessive use (3 tablets or more per day for several days in a row), so do not take more than 2 tablets per day.
Avoid use less than 6 hours before bedtime because this medicine can keep you awake
Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
Children are better off not taking this.
Do not use with kidney dialysis
At high doses or in combination with caffeine-rich foods or when used late in the day, this supplement may cause one or more of the following side effects: nervousness, insomnia, increased heart rate.
If caffeine is used shortly before bedtime, this may result in sleep disruption. Falling asleep takes longer. Sleep efficiency also decreases; the proportion of deep sleep and dream sleep is reduced. Therefore, preferably do not take caffeine from at least 6 hours before going to sleep.
If you are training in the evening, it is better to take caffeine around 5 in the afternoon. The caffeine is still active after a few hours.
