What are amino acids?

Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins, the second most common substance in the body after water and essential for many internal processes. Proteins are composed of chains of amino acids linked together in different combinations.

Amino acids are classified into two categories: essential and non-essential. The sixty percent of the amino acids that the human body can make of other amino acids we enter through our diet are considered non-essential; The remaining 40 percent must be obtained from nutrition is therefore essential.

Each amino acids has a very specific function in the body and sometimes there's a special need for supplementation, which is why so many amino acids are sold separately, e.g. lysine for better immunity, tryptophan for mood and arginine for muscle-bulding.

PasioOnline offers you a very complete range of amino acids with various therapeutic and / or pure muscle building properties.

On the specific amino acids:

L-Arginine: Unlock the potential of Arginine, a versatile amino acid crucial for nitric oxide production, supporting healthy blood flow, cardiovascular function, and muscle development. Explore the benefits of this essential building block for protein synthesis and discover its role in promoting overall well-being.

L-Citrulline: Elevate your health with Citrulline, a key amino acid known for its role in nitric oxide production, enhancing blood circulation, and promoting endurance. Uncover the benefits of Citrulline in supporting athletic performance, cardiovascular health, and recovery. Energize your body and discover the natural power of this amino acid.

L-Carnitine is a naturally occurring amino acid derivative that plays a crucial role in the production of energy by transporting fatty acids into your cells' mitochondria, which act as engines within your cells, burning these fats to create usable energy. It is often categorized as a conditionally essential amino acid because, under normal circumstances, the body can produce sufficient amounts. However, in certain conditions or during specific stages of life, the body's ability to produce enough L-Carnitine may be limited, making dietary sources or supplements beneficial.

L-Cysteine is a semi-essential amino acid, meaning that while the body can synthesize it from other amino acids under normal conditions, dietary intake is still important for optimal health. It contains a thiol group, which consists of a sulfur atom bonded to a hydrogen atom, making it unique among amino acids. This thiol group is responsible for many of L-Cysteine's biological functions.

L-Cysteine and N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC) are related compounds that share similarities but also have distinct differences in their chemical structures and biological properties.

Both L-Cysteine and N-Acetyl-Cysteine are important for various biological functions, NAC offers advantages in terms of stability and absorption, making it a preferred form for supplementation in certain contexts.

L-Glutamine: Boost your wellness journey with L-Glutamine, a versatile amino acid vital for muscle recovery, immune system support, and gut health. Explore the myriad benefits of this essential nutrient, from promoting a robust immune response to aiding in post-workout recovery. Discover the natural resilience of L-Glutamine for a healthier, stronger you.

L-Glycine is a non-essential amino acid, meaning the body can produce it on its own. It is the simplest and smallest amino acid, and it serves as a building block for proteins. In addition its role in protein synthesis, L-Glycine has various other functions in the body.

Trimethylglycine, commonly known as betaine, is a compound derived from the amino acid glycine. It is naturally found in various foods, including beets, spinach, whole grains, and seafood. Betaine has several potential health benefits.

L-leucine: Ignite muscle growth with L-Leucine, a potent amino acid renowned for its anabolic properties. As a key component of branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs), L-Leucine stimulates protein synthesis, promoting muscle repair and recovery. Unleash the power of this essential amino acid to fuel your fitness journey and sculpt a stronger, more resilient physique.

Branched-Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs): Supercharge your fitness journey with BCAAs – the ultimate anabolic allies. Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine, the powerhouse trio, fuel muscle growth, enhance protein synthesis, and accelerate recovery. Elevate your workouts, sculpt lean muscle, and experience the anabolic prowess of BCAAs for peak performance and optimal gains.

L-Taurine : Uncover the unique benefits of L-Taurine, an essential amino acid with diverse roles in supporting cardiovascular health, metabolism, and neurotransmission. From enhancing energy levels to promoting antioxidant defense, explore the versatile qualities of L-Taurine for a holistic approach to well-being. Energize your body and mind with the natural power of this amino acid.

L-Tryptophan is converted to serotonin and melatonin in the body, it plays an important role in promoting relaxation, restful sleep and positive mood.
