AOR Acta-Resveratrol is a sustainably sourced resveratrol. Resveratrol is an antioxidant belonging to the polyphenol family found in many plants such as various berries, peanuts, rhubarb and several herbs including the Japanese Giant Knotweed. It is the main component in red wine that is responsible for its touted health benefits.
In a trans-form for easy absorption, resveratrol provides a rich source of antioxidants that help to combat the damaging effects of free radicals.
Aacta-Resveratrol is sourced from wildcrafted Japanese knotweed. Japanese knotweed is listed by the World Conservation Union (UICN) as one of the world’s 100 most invasive species. Rather than horticulture societies attempting to eradicate these weeds with herbicides releasing harmful chemicals into the atmosphere, AOR is contributing to manual control by using the knotweed as our preferred source of resveratrol.
