Urica 90 capsules - white mulberry, resveratrol, OPC for gout | AOR
AOR Urica Gout, also referred to as metabolic arthritis or acute inflammatory monoarthritis, is caused by an abnormal build-up of uric acid in the blood - uric acid being a metabolic by-product of purine metabolism. Purines are natural substances found in many foods, and particularly in high protein foods like organ meats and fish like mackerel and sardines.
Excessive blood levels of uric acid then lead to acute inflammation of the joints. 'Classic Gout' which usually targets the joints of the big toe and other joints within the legs and feet and can affect people of all ages. However, another type of gout - called 'Atypical Gout' - can affect any joint in either the arms or legs and is observed predominantly in the elderly.
Both types of gout are characterized by excruciating pain and swelling. In many typical cases of gout, patients are overweight, predisposed to Type II diabetes and hypertension, and are at a higher risk of cardiovascular disease. Gout is disproportionately found in societies whose diets include large amounts of protein, fat and alcohol. Since a fundamental facet of gout is the metabolism of protein, the areas of kidney, bladder and urinary tract health are primary targets for treatment.
Elevated uric acid levels
Urica is designed to reduce uric acid levels in the body, thereby reducing the frequency and severity of gout attacks. This formula may also benefit those with high uric acid levels or compromised kidney function.
Urica combines a high dose of morin-rich mulberry extract with supportive doses of resveratrol and grape seed extract.
Morin acts on the kidneys to promote the excretion of uric acid from the body, and also helps to reduce its production by inhibiting the enzyme xanthine oxidase, which converts certain compounds into uric acid.
Polyphenols from resveratrol and grape seed extract also act on the kidneys and reduce xanthine oxidase activity.
AOR’s unique formula for healthy uric acid metabolism combines ingredients with a history of traditional use, that are also backed by modern research.
Some supplements are suitable for both men and women of all ages as well as children. But other supplements are specifically targeted to the aging woman or man. Another supplement is especially suitable for athletes, regardless of gender.

Tips and tricks to keep your house cool without airconditioning
After having survived the hottest two weeks of the past century, and hearing about the deliberate choice to switch of the power in some areas of California as it became impossible to match the demand for electricity, due to the massive use of airconditioning, this week's topic had to be about how to keep your house and yourself cool without needing to rely on energy-guzzling airconditioning.
How to make better food and lifestyle choices
Zinc and HCQ
In the past few months, nearly everyone will have become familiar with the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) and how it has been welcomed as a miracle drug, only to be set aside as being too dangerous to expose sick patients with underlying cardiovascular diseases to it.
Upon learning how HCQ is supposed to be used in this crisis, I was flabbergasted to read how HCQ was put to use by itself, as a drug on its own. True enough, HCQ is a malaria drug, but it was not just meant to be used as a curative medicin on its own for COVID-19 but as a messenger to transport the true miracle mineral, zinc into cells.
The now famous Zelenko protocol which uses HCQ , azithromycin and zinc as well as a number of other essential vitamins and minerals, was never meant to be used in hospital either, but for use by doctors on patients who had just fallen ill.
Now the researchers who discredited HCQ in the Lancet article have been debunked as having used fraudulous data in order to promote a much more expensive drug in which one of the authors had a vested interested, we think it is about time to explain a thing or two on why and how HCQ is used in combination with zinc.
Occurence and prevention of goutGout is a painful condition considered a complex form of arthritis that is caused when too much uric acid builds up in the body. High levels of uric acid causes the formation of crystals in the joints, creating intense pain and inflammation. The body produces uric acid as it breaks down purines, which are commonly found in meats, seafood, legumes, alcohol, fructose, yeast and some vegetables.
