The First Line of Defense
The immune system is your body’s most important line of defense against infection and disease. It is a highly complex system composed mostly of a variety of different types of white blood cells, whose job it is to detect and eliminate abnormal cells and invading pathogens like bacteria and viruses. It is obvious that maintaining a strong, healthy immune system is extremely important.
Many natural substances have been shown to help boost the immune system in various ways, helping the body to fight off infections and eliminate potentially cancerous cells more effectively. The patented and clinically tested NatraMuneTM blend has been shown to enhance immune cell production and activity. The herb Andrographis paniculata has been shown in numerous trials to reduce the severity of cold symptoms. Amla and Holy Basil are also powerful immune modulators and have antibacterial properties.
Powerful Immune Support
Immune Support is a potent immune system support formula containing well researched ingredients in clinically effective dosages. It is designed to help improve immune system activity, promote the proliferation of immune system cells, and help prevent the occurrence of bacterial and viral infections. It is the perfect choice for anyone looking to improve their health and boost their defenses against colds, flu and other infections.
Your immune system is critical for the maintenance of good health. The cells of the immune system include T cells, which destroy infected cells and coordinate the immune response, B cells, which make antibodies to “flag” pathogens, macrophages and neutrophils which engulf invaders in a process called phagocytosis, and natural killer cells that induce cell death, or apoptosis, of infected cells. These cells act together in a complex, synergistic relationship in order to protect the body from invaders. Optimizing the immune response is essential for avoiding illness and infection.
Fortunately, there are many natural substances have been shown to help boost the immune system, helping the body to fight off infections and eliminate potentially cancerous cells more effectively. Immune Support from AOR contains a carefully selected combination of ingredients designed to optimize immune fuction, including the patented and clinically tested NatraMuneTM blend.
NatraMuneTM – A Proprietary Immune-Boosting Combination
This clinically proven complex includes mushroom, rice bran (Oryza sativa), olive leaf (Olea europaea) and yam extracts, all of which are plant-based immune modulators for superior immune support.
In vitro studies have shown that NatraMuneTM increases the activity of immune system cells called macrophages by 65%.
Previous studies have also shown that the β-glucans in mushrooms are capable of activating dormant macrophages.
In humans, an open-label study involving 18 subjects showed that 2 months of supplementation with 1000mg daily of NatraMuneTM resulted in an 18% increase in immune cell levels. This increase was observed for nearly all types of immune system cells, with natural killer cells, helper T cells, cytotoxic T cells, and B cells all increasing by at least 10%.
Furthermore, 16 of 18 subjects reported no symptoms of viral or bacterial infection throughout the study. In a follow-up study, five subjects were given 3000mg of NatraMuneTM per day. After two weeks, the subjects’ levels of natural killer cells had increased by 19% and natural killer cell activity, or cytotoxicity, had increased by 17%.
Andrographis paniculata is commonly used in Scandinavia as a cold and flu remedy and in traditional eastern medicine to treat fevers. In vitro and animal studies have shown that Andrographis possesses anti-inflammatory, fever reducing, anti-cancer, anti-viral, anti-malaria and immune system stimulating properties.
In humans at least seven placebo-controlled clinical trials have shown that it is effective for reducing cold symptoms. In one trial, 208 individuals with upper respiratory tract infections were given 60 mg of Andrographis per day. After 2 days, symptoms of sore throat, fatigue, sleep disturbance and nasal secretion were significantly improved compared to the placebo group.
Emblica officinalis, or Amla, is an effective antimicrobial agent and immune system enhancer. In vitro studies have revealed that amla reduces the immunosuppressive and free radical activity of toxic heavy metals and enhances the activity of macrophages. Amla has also shown promising anti-cancer properties.
Ocimum sanctum, or Holy Basil, is another herb with potent immunomodulatory, antimicrobial and antiparasitic activity. It has been shown to eliminate several bacterial species and the malaria causing parasite in vitro. Animal studies suggest that holy basil is an effective immune-system modulator, helping to promote a healthy immune response. Holy Basil also helps to reduce anxiety, stress, and inflammation. Maintaining healthy stress levels is important for preventing imbalances of the immune system.
Zinc and HCQ
In the past few months, nearly everyone will have become familiar with the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) and how it has been welcomed as a miracle drug, only to be set aside as being too dangerous to expose sick patients with underlying cardiovascular diseases to it.
Upon learning how HCQ is supposed to be used in this crisis, I was flabbergasted to read how HCQ was put to use by itself, as a drug on its own. True enough, HCQ is a malaria drug, but it was not just meant to be used as a curative medicin on its own for COVID-19 but as a messenger to transport the true miracle mineral, zinc into cells.
The now famous Zelenko protocol which uses HCQ , azithromycin and zinc as well as a number of other essential vitamins and minerals, was never meant to be used in hospital either, but for use by doctors on patients who had just fallen ill.
Now the researchers who discredited HCQ in the Lancet article have been debunked as having used fraudulous data in order to promote a much more expensive drug in which one of the authors had a vested interested, we think it is about time to explain a thing or two on why and how HCQ is used in combination with zinc.
Symptoms and natural treatments of indigestionIndigestion or heartburn can happen when your body has trouble digesting food. Anyone can get it on occasion, or it can be an ongoing problem. Heartburn is especially prominent in December with so many holidays accompanied with delicious foods, that prompt us to overindulge.
While acid reflux is a common phenomenon, not all symptoms of it, are very obvious.
When heartburn happens, for instance due to smoking, alcohol, medication, carbonated drinks or some foods that are difficult to process (spices, fats, acids, fiber) may cause a valve-like stomach muscle to loosen, allowing stomach acid to backwash into the esophagus. This exposes sensitive tissue in the chest to stomach acids, causing painful symptoms.
Common symptoms of reflux are a burning feeling in your chest or stomach, burping, bloating, gurgling stomach, acid reflux, heartburn, nausea or even vomiting.
Problems in your GI tract or other health issues also can cause indigestion. These include:
- acid reflux, gastroesophageal reflux (GER), or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): A reaction to food and drink where contents come back up from your stomach. The acid can come up into your esophagus, the tube-like organ connecting your mouth and stomach. Acid reflux also can produce vomiting. This condition causes heartburn because of the high acid contents.
- irritable bowel syndrome: a disorder that affects your intestines. Symptoms include stomach pain, bloating, gas, constipation, and diarrhea.
- infection: a bacterial infection from Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) can cause indigestion.
- gastroparesis: A condition that affects digestion. If muscles in your GI tract stop working, your body slows down or stops the movement of food. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, bloating, and acid reflux.
- ulcer: A sore on the lining of your stomach (peptic ulcer), small intestine, or esophagus.
- gastritis: Inflammation of your stomach lining.
- stomach cancer: This is a rare condition, but indigestion can be one of its signs.
PFAS pollutants causing turmoil
In October, nearly every construction project came to a grinding halt in the Netherlands, because not a single project except the smallest ones can be completed without excessive paper work or laboratory tests.
Why? The current legal threshold for PFAS, an abbreviation for perfluorinated alkylated substances has been set extremely low until the government is able to define a proper health limit for contaminated soil so as to prevent contamination of clean soil with more heavily contaminated soil.
If cemeteries hadn't been exempt from the rule, not a single dead body could have been interred, since PFAS-chemicals , also known as 'forever chemicals' have accumulated in our bodies to an extent that exceeds the legally set threshold, which is currently as low as the lowest possible detection level.
Magic mushrooms: boosting immunity and fighting inflammation
As we transition from summer into autumn, our thoughts automatically go to walks in the forest to enjoy the beautiful foliage and by consequence to the many beautiful mushrooms that flourish in this moist yet warm season.
There's a good reason mushrooms are so popular in nearly every world cuisine.
While low in carbohydrates and calories, mushrooms are a great source of B-vitamins, trace minerals, fiber and even offer some protein.
But mushrooms offer more, they have anti-inflammatory properties and contains high levels of beta-glucans that keep immune cells alert, plus a powerful antioxidant called ergothioneine that helps lower body-wide inflammation.
The medicinal use of mushrooms has a very long tradition in Asian countries that dates back thousands of years. Although their use in the Western Hemisphere only started increasing in the past several decades, numerous recent studies show that they are vital, biologically active compounds with significant benefits to health.
